Auroites Present a Grand Show on Annual Day
Sri Aurobindo School of Integral Education, Chandigarh celebrated Annual Function ’Joie De Vivre’ depicting the value ‘ the joy of finding the higher Purpose of Life’ on Saturday, 24th December 2022 amidst great splendour, zeal and resplendence.
The Chief Guest for the occasion was Prof. Ronaki Ram, who is currently working as Professor of Political Science at Punjab University, Chandigarh. The programme commenced with the lighting of lamp by the chief guest, school chairman and the principal. It was followed by beautiful Shakti Dance invoking the blessings of Goddess to shower love, peace and strength. The show was an amalgam of synchronized dance performances, music and drama. The students took the spectators on an exciting journey with full of emotions, fun, action, loads of entertainment with the help of well woven story showcasing the journey of Harry Potter in pursuit of finding the higher purpose of life. The school band offered a repertoire of sufi, folk and devotional songs.Another highlight of the cultural extravaganza was English drama ‘The Book That Saved the Earth’ by Claire Boiko. An enchanting dance was presented by the students of class VII , Krishna Leela, which depicted his various manifestations in human form coming face to face with worldly realities. The performance captured the hearts of the audience with its synchronised dance movements and ethereal music.
Speaking on the Occasion, the Principal, Mrs. Garima S Bhardwajexpressed her heartfelt gratitude to the guests for taking out time from their busy schedules to be a part of the celebration. Sheapprised everyone with school's unflinching efforts to cater to the holistic development of a child's personality. She also presented a brief report on the notable achievements of the students in academics and co-curricular events which have brought glory to the school. The chief guest applauded the students for their outstanding performance and urged them to aspire for excellence in their future endeavours. The vote of thanks was proposed by the Chairman of the school, Mr Arvind Mehan. He appreciated the talent of the students, calling them an asset of the school and congratulated them for putting up an excellent show. The celebration concluded on a blissful note encouraging students to mark further milestones in their journey of success.
