Visit to Chokhi Dhani by the Junior Wing
The Junior Wing of our School had an exciting and enriching school trip to Chokhi Dhani, an ethnic village resort that showcases the vibrant culture, traditions, and heritage of Rajasthan. The visit was filled with cultural activities, traditional Rajasthani food, and fun-filled experiences that brought our students closer to India’s rich rural culture. Upon arrival, the students were welcomed with traditional Rajasthani folk dances, including the Ghoomar and Kalbeliya dance, which are famous in Rajasthan. The graceful movements and colorful attire of the dancers fascinated the students. They even got a chance to join in the dance and try out some steps, which was a fun and memorable experience. Students had the opportunity to ride on the back of a camel, which is a traditional means of transportation in rural Rajasthan. The students visited the craft stalls where local artisans displayed their hand-crafted items, including pottery, wooden toys, paintings, and colorful textiles. The students enjoyed a traditional Rajasthani meal served on a leaf plate (patra). Students participated in a range of traditional games such as kho-kho, kabaddi, and lagori, which are commonly played in rural Rajasthan. Our trip to Chokhi Dhani was a huge success. The students not only had a great time but also gained valuable knowledge about the cultural diversity of India.
