Workshop on Child Sexual Abuse 2024

The workshop on Child Sexual Abuse was organised in school aimed to educate the school staff on recognizing and addressing instances of abuse among children. Dr. Gagandeep Kaur, a consultant Psychologist and the appointed school counsellor, led the workshop. The attendees were informed about the various forms of abuse children may endure, including physical, emotional, and sexual abuse. Dr. Kaur provided insights into identifying indicators of sexual abuse and discussed the demographics of children most vulnerable to such abuse. Additionally, she outlined the proper procedures for reporting cases of child abuse and underscored the responsibilities of teachers in safeguarding children's well-being. Overall, the workshop equipped the staff with valuable knowledge and tools to effectively respond to instances of child sexual abuse within the school community.
